What is a call center? What are the processes in the call center?
Mr. Harry Newton brought the concept of call center in the year of 1885.
The concept is places where the calls are being made are received.
The first In-bound call center was the Pan American Airlines in 1956.
The first Out-bound call center was the AT and T Wireless Technology in 1967.
Call center works as a contact center and it acts as a bridge between the customer and the organization.
A call center is places where large numbers of calls are being made are received for the purpose of business.
There are two types of call center:
1. Domestic call center.
2. International call center.
Domestic call center:
Domestic call center is a place where large numbers of call are being made and received for the purpose of business with in country.
For Example:
1. Customer Support
2. Reliance
3. ICICI
4. City Bank
International call center:
International call center is a place where large numbers of call are being made and received for the purpose of business outside the political bounders like U.S.A ,U.K ,AUSTRALIA etc. (Mostly international call center is a out bound.
For Example:
1. Micro Soft
2. Dell Computers
3. HSBC
4. British Airways.
